Michael Paul Young is a designer and artist who specializes in motion graphics.

Born in Tennessee, he spent two years at Roane State Community College and one year at Minneapolis College of Art and Design before dropping out to accept a job offer.

At the age of 23, Young received a Chrysler Design Award nomination for his work on Designgraphik, an experimental series of interactive animations he created the late 90's and 00's.

In 1999, Young connected with Michael Cina, a designer and musician working in the Midwest. The two formed WeWorkForThem, a design agency and art collaboration. They accepted client work from companies such as Adobe, VH1, and ESPN in order to provide funding for the creation of an e-commerce retailer of fonts and stock media. In 2001, this idea was realized and Young and Cina launched the company YouWorkForThem.

Young has exhibited work at festivals such as OFFF, FILE, and DOTMOV, and has received awards including the Clio and Cannes Gold Cyber Lion.

Young currently resides in Bangkok, Thailand and acts as the creative director of YouWorkForThem, Nanamee & Buamai.

I'm glad to see some attention to a designer and entrepreneur but this is a pretty shallow biography that does not demonstrate very much research. It focuses on Young's commercial work does not discuss his more artistic work that appears in other AEM-OC entries. I added the missing link to YouWorkForThem. Many other links could be added that might be helpful to readers.
